The Colorado Family Support Service Model and Implementation Tool

In this training, you will learn about the components of evidence-informed family support service delivery model used by Colorado’s Family Resource Centers and explore ways to bring these components to your work with families. The training will include an introduction to the Colorado Family Support Assessment (CFSA2.0), the assessment tool used in this service model to assess family strengths and needs, and monitor progress towards family self-reliance and increased conditions that protect children against maltreatment.
Participants will:
- Increase awareness of a research-informed approach to engage families
- Increase awareness of a standardized practice implementation tool
Who should attend: All staff of family resource center (FRCs), child abuse prevention councils (CAPCs), and other family support service organizations.

MEET THE SPEAKER
Patty Velasquez is FRCA’s Implementation Director. In this role, she works with the Executive Director and other members of the FRCA staff to facilitate program development and manage stages of program and intermediary implementation using fidelity tools grounded in best practices. Patty provides extensive technical assistance to support implementation of family support programs, trainings, equity plans, and FRCA’s Service Delivery model at member Family Resource Centers throughout Colorado, and human service agencies nationally. Over the past 3 years, Patty has worked to support effective implementation and scaling of evidence-informed practices to improve programs and services that impact outcomes for families and communities. Patty brings over 10 years’ experience implementing, managing, developing programing and practices in Colorado. In her free time, Patty enjoys spending time with her two young kids and husband.
