El Dorado County determined their priority populations are children exposed to domestic violence, children with caretakers experiencing substance use disorder, and substance-exposed infants. They have elected Motivational Interviewing for cross-cutting case management and substance use disorder as their EBP. They also intend to further explore Parents as Teachers and Healthy Families America. Additionally, El Dorado County plans to embrace a no wrong door community pathway by supporting organizations providing navigation services as primary and secondary prevention. El Dorado’s County aims to help the shift from a “mandated reporter” to a “community supporter” paradigm by enhancing and supporting referral pathways.
