TRAINING DETAILS:
Beyond the conversations, coaches often leverage assessments to provide additional insights and increase their clients’ self-awareness in various aspects such as priorities, values, needs, strengths, personality, behavior, and interpersonal preferences. The usage of such assessment tools can be extremely valuable and need to be chosen with the client’s needs in mind. In this session, we will explore when and how to use self-assessment tools in the coaching context.
Participants will be able to:
Differentiate between formal and informal assessment tools.
Identify indicators when a client may benefit from the use of a self-assessment tool.
Understand ways to introduce, frame and debrief assessments with clients.
Understand how to incorporate culturally responsive practices when selecting and debriefing assessment tools.
Who should attend: Leadership of family resource centers (FRCs), child abuse prevention councils (CAPCs), community-based organizations, and other child- and family-serving systems.
