Curious about how Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy can help children heal from trauma, anxiety, or big life stressors? This engaging 90-minute webinar, led by award-winning author and EMDR Consultant Christine Mark-Griffin, offers an accessible introduction to EMDR therapy.
This webinar will walk you through the core concepts of EMDR in a warm, down-to-earth way. You’ll learn how trauma and stress show up in kids, what EMDR looks like in a child-friendly setting, and how this evidence-based approach can nurture resilience and regulation.
Participants will:
- Gain a foundational understanding of how EMDR therapy can be adapted to support children’s healing and resilience
Who should attend: All staff of family resource centers (FRCs), child abuse prevention councils (CAPCs), community-based organizations, and other child- and family-serving systems.
IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
- This is a webinar-style training. This means that you will not be on camera and will not be able to see other learners. This training will not include breakout rooms. Opportunities to interact with the presenter(s) and other participants will be included.
- This training will be recorded. The recording will be available to registered learners within 2 days of the training.

MEET THE SPEAKER
Christine Mark-Griffin, LCSW, RYT is an internationally acclaimed expert in EMDR therapy for children and the author of the award-winning EMDR Workbook for Kids. Christine is passionate about playfully combining her love of yoga, music, movement & fitness with clinical practice to help others learn, grow and heal.
She is the owner of Spark All Wellness, a private group practice with locations in SF & Pasadena, California specializing in EMDR, play therapy and trauma-informed yoga therapy with women and children. She is also the founder of EMDR for Kids. The mission at EMDR for Kids is to empower therapists, parents, and children of all ages with resources, tools, and advanced training to overcome trauma & adversities.
She is a sought after trainer in the field of psychotherapy and has trained thousands of clinicians internationally on integrating EMDR, play therapy and yoga in clinical practice.
Christine’s professional experience has included working in non-profit, child welfare, juvenile justice, community mental health, school-based mental health and higher education settings. Working in these various settings over the years has deepened her knowledge and understanding of complex trauma but has also exposed her to some of the most beautiful stories of healing and resilience.
