autoconciencia del coach
April 7, 2026
1:00 – 2:00 P.M. PT
Este seminario virtual se presentará en inglés
con interpretación al español.
Self-awareness is about understanding your own needs, desires, habits, and everything that makes you, you. To be a good coach, one must know oneself in-depth, be aware of one’s blind spots, biases and judgments. Self-awareness is fundamental to the work we do; otherwise, it will interfere with the support we provide for the client. In this session we will explore the value and importance of coach self-awareness in the coaching relationship.
Partcipants will be able to:
- Explain the role of self-awareness in effective coaching and how it enhances presence, listening, and ethical practice.
- Identify strategies and tools for developing coach self-awareness, including reflective practices, journaling, and feedback mechanisms.
- Apply the principles of developmental coaching inward to recognize personal biases, emotional triggers, and patterns that influence coaching behaviors.
Who Should Attend: Leaders of family resource centers (FRCs), child abuse prevention councils (CAPCs), community-based organizations, and other child- and family-serving systems.

MEET THE SPEAKERS
Brenda believes in coaching the whole person. To her this means exploring, with a client, their “WHY”—the values, beliefs, attitudes, assumptions, and/or worldview—and how these crucial aspects of our inner life influence how one shows up in the world to work toward the things that matter most in our personal and/or professional life.
She has a bachelor’s degrees in Biology and English and a master’s degree in counseling psychology. In addition, she is a certified neuro-transformational coach through BEabove Leadership and a Professional Certified Coach (PCC)through the International Coaching Federation.
Brenda has a passion for international travel and participating in endurance athletic events like triathlons and marathons. She is an Ironman triathlon finisher and knows very well the sacrifice and reward that comes from staying focused on the “WHY?” of a dream or a goal.
