 Learn More & Apply

Dates & times for the sessions in this
workshop are listed below.

The CalTrin Emerging Leaders Development Program is designed for individuals who have been in leadership roles for less than three years (supervisors/managers with direct reports). Through a mix of interactive workshops, self-reflection, and accountability group discussion, you will gain practice, insight, and strategy for leading an effective and engaged workforce and organization. Over the course of eight months, you will be challenged and supported as you learn and apply everyday practical strategies – ending with an individual leadership stretch project.

Workshop and Training Topics will include:

  • Strengths-Based Leadership
  • Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace
  • Supervising for Success
  • Delivering Effective Feedback
  • Navigating Difficult Performance Conversations
  • Leading Through Change
  • Developing Others Through Coaching

Who Should Attend: Team Leads, Supervisors and/or Managers who work in California and have less than 3 years of leadership experience.

  • This is an interactive training series. Please be prepared to participate in activities such as group discussions, breakout rooms, and/or demonstrations. Your training experience will be best with the use of a webcam, audio, and a training environment conducive to active participation.
  • This series will be recorded. The recordings will be available to registered learners within 2 days of the sessions.
  • This is a small-group training series. Spaces are limited, and there may be a waiting list. All applicants will be contacted by the week of August 5, 2024.
  • Attendance Policy. Participants who commit to the program are expected to fully participate and attend all scheduled sessions. Participants can miss two scheduled sessions due to previously scheduled commitments or unforeseen circumstances, with the exception of the mandatory Kick-Off session and Final Presentations. Participants will be removed from the program on their third absence.
  • Coursework: Participants will be required to complete up to 3 hours per week of program coursework, including independent projects and communicating with an assigned accountability group.
  • Accountability Groups: Participants are expected to actively engage and collaborate with an assigned accountability group throughout the program. This may involve scheduling time outside of the training sessions to discuss, share, and support each other through the various training topics.
