Parent Partners for Families: Supporting Reunification in Miami-Dade County

Parents affected by substance use disorders (SUD), untreated mental health issues, and other social factors that influence health outcomes often face challenges in reuniting with their children in child welfare. The Parent Partners for Families (PPFF) Program in Miami-Dade County, FL, supports and empowers families to ensure that parents are able to successfully access and complete all recommended services, including SUD treatment and behavioral health services. Parent partners work with families to build knowledge of and access to community-based resources and services, navigate requirements for service use, and help engage parents in the court process.
