Elevating Youth and Caregiver Voice and Fidelity in CFT & CANS Implementation

January 28 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm PST

The Alliance for Children’s Rights conducted a survey to gather input on the use and effectiveness of the Child and Family Team (CFT) process and the Integrated Practice–Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (IP-CANS) assessment in California’s child welfare system. The survey explored how these tools are being implemented, identified barriers to fidelity, and captured recommendations from youth, caregivers, and professionals to strengthen collaborative planning and service delivery.

In this webinar, the Alliance will share key findings from the survey and discuss strategies to improve engagement and fidelity in CFT meetings and IP-CANS assessments. Joining us are speakers from the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), who will discuss statewide efforts to implement fidelity tools to ensure consistent, youth-centered practices across counties.
