How do your natural workplace priorities, motivators, and stressors influence the way you communicate, collaborate, and lead others? Through this three-hour interactive workshop, participants will have the opportunity to complete a DiSC Workplace assessment (provided by CalTrin at no cost to the participant), review their personalized results, and explore how their unique style impacts their approach to leadership and overall workplace interactions.
Participants will receive a personalized DiSC profile and learn how to recognize and respond to different behavioral styles. Through discussion, reflection, and practical application, participants will explore how adapting their approach can strengthen communication, improve collaboration, and help them build more effective relationships with the people they lead and work alongside.
Participants will:
- Complete the Everything DiSC Workplace® assessment prior to the training to receive a personalized DiSC profile
- Explore their individual DiSC style, including the priorities, motivators, and behavioral tendencies that influence how they communicate and work with others
- Learn practical strategies for adapting their communication and leadership approach to build stronger relationships and work more effectively with different styles
Who Should Attend: Leaders with direct reports, including Supervisors, Managers, and Directors at family resource centers, community-based organizations, Child Abuse Prevention Councils, and other child- and family-serving systems.
IMPORTANT TRAINING INFORMATION:
- This is an interactive training. Please be prepared to participate in activities such as group discussion, break out rooms, and/or demonstration. Your training experience will be best with the use of a web cam, audio, and a training environment conducive to active participation.

- This is a small-group training. Spaces are limited space and there may be a waiting list. Preference will be given to applicants from California. All applicants will be contacted by the week of October 5, 2026.

- CalTrin “No Show” Policy: CalTrin workshops often have limited spaces and waiting lists. Due to the cost of training and time associated with planning each CalTrin workshop, confirmed participants are expected to attend for the full duration. Confirmed participants who do not attend training and do not contact CalTrin in advance may not be selected for future application-based workshops.
- Required Pre-Work: Prework, such as completing assigned assessments and/or accessing the training kit, must be completed by the due date, or you may be removed from the class.

MEET THE SPEAKER
Jessica is a Training Coordinator & Facilitator with CalTrin, where she creates engaging learning experiences for professionals working to strengthen children, families, and communities. Her experience spans human resources, leadership development, adult learning, and public speaking, with a focus on making training practical, interactive, and easy to apply.
Jessica is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, an Everything DiSC® Certified Practitioner, and an ATD Certified Master Trainer. She holds an BA in Psychology, MBA, and also instructs Training & Development through the SDSU Global Campus Human Resources Management Certificate.
