TRAINING DETAILS:

This session starts off by diving into the science of why implicit biases happen and how they can show up in our workplace. We explore several mitigation tactics to prevent biases from showing up in our decisions and judgements in the workplace. In a self reflection activity participants identify their own blindspots and why those blindspots are specific to them. 

Learners will:

• Why unconscious biases happen and where they come from
• Everyone holds unconscious biases, that is what makes us human
• How these biases can show up in the workplace
• Mitigation tactics for personal biases

En esta sesión, profundizaremos en la ciencia que explica por qué se producen los prejuicios implícitos y cómo pueden manifestarse en nuestro lugar de trabajo. Exploramos varias tácticas de mitigación para evitar que los prejuicios se reflejen en nuestras decisiones y juicios en el lugar de trabajo. Who should attend: All staff of family resource center (FRCs), child abuse prevention councils (CAPCs), community-based organizations, and other child- and family-serving systems.

• This is a webinar-style training. This means that you will not be on camera and will not be able to see other learners. This training will not include breakout rooms. Opportunities to interact with the presenter(s) and other participants will be included.
• This training will be recorded. The recording will be available to registered learners within 2 days of the training.

To ensure a respectful and secure learning environment for all participants, AI assistants are not allowed in CalTrin training. We value an accessible learning environment.
