Preparing the Workforce to Deliver Comprehensive Prevention Services
October 19 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm PDTFree
The purpose of this Learning Forum is the preparation of the County/Tribes’ workforce for a comprehensive prevention program, including CBO staff. The Learning Forum will focus on strategies for establishing a prevention mindset and resourcing training materials and tools for those in the systems that will be providing direct EBP services and/or case management. The Forum will also include information on how to structure Statements of Work (SOWs) and contracts for EBP purveyors who will be providing training to the workforce.
The Comprehensive Prevention Plan Learning Series is sponsored by Casey Family Programs, in partnership with Implematix, CalTrin, and CDSS. It is intended to assist counties in preparing for implementation of their unique Comprehensive Prevention Plan (CPP). The series maps directly to the nine Readiness domains for California’s Family First Prevention Services (FFPS) Program and addresses requirements outlined in All County Letter (ACL) 22-23 and AB153. These learning forums will provide detail on the domains and associated national and local perspectives on readiness work. Each learning forum will be followed by an interactive question and answer session to allow for more detailed discussion and clarification. Although encouraged, it is not required to attend the full series and each session will require separate registration.
