Suicide in California – Data Trends in 2020, COVID Impact, and Prevention Strategies

Presenters will highlight data for the state overall as well as provide a more detailed look at how suicide and self-harm have been experienced differently by age, race/ethnicity and/or sex. Additionally, this webinar will highlight results from a study about experiences of violence in the past year among Californians, including impacts of COVID-19 on violence, economic hardship, and health (including suicidality and gun purchases). Presenters will also provide information on evidence-based suicide prevention strategies and current CDPH violence prevention programs.
