Family Matters: Providing Support to Kinship Care Providers

Kinship care is an increasingly common form of care for children formally involved with child welfare systems. It’s also a way to prevent children from entering child welfare systems by providing stability during times of family stress. How do we ensure formal and informal kinship care providers are receiving the support they need? Learn more about New Jersey and DC’s work to create support systems for informal kinship care providers.

Guest Speakers

Richard Howard joined D.C.’s Child and Family Services Agency in 2013 as the Program Analyst for the Kinship Support Services unit.

Jenira Anne Hill serves as the Assistant Director for the Office of Family Support Services at the New Jersey Department of Children and Families (DCF).

Dawn DeLuca, Ph.D., is an experienced program evaluator with over 20 years of applied research experience.
