Designing a Comprehensive County Prevention System

August 17 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm PDT

This Learning Forum will provide guidance and methods for the jurisdiction to develop an achievable, actionable, and sustainable vision and strategy for a comprehensive prevention services program based in collaboration, family-centeredness, equity and responsiveness to community needs. We will outline how this system must include services in all tiers of prevention and be anchored in the Social Determinants of Health.

The Comprehensive Prevention Plan Learning Series is sponsored by Casey Family Programs, in partnership with Implematix, CalTrin, and CDSS. It is intended to assist counties in preparing for implementation of their unique Comprehensive Prevention Plan (CPP). The series maps directly to the nine Readiness domains for California’s Family First Prevention Services (FFPS) Program and addresses requirements outlined in All County Letter (ACL) 22-23 and AB153. These learning forums will provide detail on the domains and associated national and local perspectives on readiness work. Each learning forum will be followed by an interactive question and answer session to allow for more detailed discussion and clarification. Although encouraged, it is not required to attend the full series and each session will require separate registration.
