August 25 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm PDT

Free

This webinar will provide an overview of two new research reports on costs savings FRCs yield for both rural & urban Child Welfare Systems.

  • How do FRCs save Child Welfare systems money and reduce families’ involvement in them?
  • How have FRCs and Child Welfare Departments partnered effectively?
  • What are the implications of the reports for investments in FRCs?

This webinar will release and discuss two new research reports commissioned by Casey Family Programs and conducted by the OMNI Institute detailing the return on investment of a rural FRC in Teller County, Colorado and an urban FRC in Orange County California. The reports illustrate significant costs savings to Child Welfare system because of FRC’s effectiveness at supporting families to healthy and strong, and less likely to experience child abuse and neglect. Perspectives will be shared by parent representatives, county Child Welfare leaders, and FRC staff.

Recommended Participants:

National, state, and local policymakers, Child welfare leaders, public departments, Children’s Trust Fund staff, private funders, Family Support and Strengthening Network leaders and representatives, Family Resource Center and Family Support Program management and direct service staff.
