SUMMARY:The ABCs of Revitalizing Well-Being in Trauma-Exposed Organizations
DESCRIPTION:Every day\, those working in trauma-exposed environments encounter stories and situations that leave lasting imprints. Alongside these experiences\, they also face organizational pressures and ethical challenges that can contribute to exhaustion and distress. Over time\, this exposure may lead to secondary traumatic stress (STS)\, burnout\, and moral distress—three overlapping yet distinct occupational hazards that\, if left unaddressed\, can erode individual well-being\, professional purpose\, and organizational health. \nThe session balances individual coping practices with systemic and collective responses\, underscoring why both are essential for sustainable well-being in trauma-exposed work. Through interactive reflection and peer exchange\, attendees will connect with others facing similar challenges and leave with insights they can apply immediately in their work. \nBy the end\, participants will walk away with concrete tools and a renewed perspective on how to rise to the challenges and revitalize their energy while contributing to healthier\, more resilient workplaces. \n  \nLearn More & Register

SUMMARY:Sharenting children on social media: An emerging form of psychological maltreatment
DESCRIPTION:Parents posting images of their children on social media (sharenting) is a widespread and popular phenomenon. In some circles it is a marker of good parenting\, despite being associated with many potential harms to children including identity theft\, use of images in child sexual abuse materials\, and emotional exploitation by parents who may gain attention and financial rewards for posting their children. This training from the TRANSFORM Research Center will present an overview of the problems associated with sharenting along with data from several recently completed studies of psychological maltreatment on TikTok\, views of young adults’ consumption of sharented content and their experience being sharented. \nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:Addressing Problematic Sexual Behaviors (PSBs) in Children & Adolescents
DESCRIPTION:When a child or adolescent sexually acts out\, it can be a scary experience for not just a parent but also for the provider working with the family. This talk will first correct common myths and misconceptions about children who sexually act out; for example\, the supermajority of these children are highly responsive to treatment and are NOT pedophiles. The second aspect of this talk will walk through the evidence for how to treat these children and the likelihood of success. With appropriate\, evidence-based practices\, children 3 to 18 who engage in these behaviors are up to 95% successful in treatment and do not sexually reoffend. Evidence for effective approaches and concrete examples and tips for working with these children and their families will be the main focus of this talk. \nInterpretación en español \nLearn More & Register

SUMMARY:Trauma-Informed Leadership in Turbulent Times: Creating the Conditions for People & Teams to Thrive
DESCRIPTION:Over the past decade\, trauma-informed care has transformed how organizations support the children\, families\, and communities they serve. Increasingly\, however\, leaders are recognizing that the same principles that foster healing for clients also shape the health\, resilience\, and effectiveness of the workforce itself. In today’s environment of chronic uncertainty\, workforce shortages\, moral distress\, rapid change\, and increasing complexity\, leadership requires more than technical expertise. It requires understanding how people adapt under stress and intentionally creating the conditions where individuals and teams can thrive. \nThis interactive webinar introduces a trauma-informed leadership framework grounded in organizational science\, implementation research\, neuroscience\, and the lived realities of today’s workforce. Participants will explore how stress and adaptation influence leadership\, communication\, decision-making\, and organizational culture\, while learning practical strategies for creating environments characterized by belonging\, psychological safety\, trust\, and agency—the core conditions that enable individuals and teams to do their best work\, even during turbulent times. \nInterpretación en español | CEUs available \n  \nLearn More & Register \n

SUMMARY:Understanding and Managing Test Anxiety: Strategies for Students\, Families\, and Educators
DESCRIPTION:Most students feel nervous before an important test. But for some\, anxiety becomes more than pre-exam jitters. It can interfere with concentration\, memory\, confidence\, preparation\, and performance—sometimes preventing students from demonstrating what they truly know. \nBenjamin J. Lovett\, PhD and Alex Jordan\, PhD explore the causes of test anxiety\, how it affects learning and academic performance\, and what students\, families\, educators\, and support professionals can do to help reduce its impact and build greater confidence. \nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:Curiosity as a Clinical Skill: Understanding Identity\, Culture\, and Lived Experience
DESCRIPTION:Every person enters a therapeutic relationship with a unique combination of identities\, experiences\, values\, beliefs\, and cultural influences. Yet clinicians are often asked to navigate these complexities while balancing professional expertise\, self-awareness\, and the fear of making assumptions or saying the wrong thing. \nCecil R. Webster Jr.\, MD\, explores how curiosity can become one of the most valuable clinical skills—helping professionals better understand identity\, culture\, lived experience\, and the many factors that shape how people experience mental health\, seek support\, and engage in care. \nREGISTER HERE \n

SUMMARY:Somatic Approaches to Trauma
DESCRIPTION:Why is the connection between mind and body more relevant than ever? \nStress\, cardiovascular disease\, and autoimmune conditions are all influenced by our emotional experiences. Likewise\, physical health conditions can significantly affect mood\, thinking\, and overall well-being. Yet we often treat the mind and body as separate systems\, operating independently rather than as interconnected parts of the whole person. \nResearch continues to show that the body can carry the effects of traumatic experiences\, with chronic stress and trauma shaping the nervous system in ways that have lasting consequences for both mental and physical health. \nJoin the California Institute for Behavioral Health Solutions (CIBHS) to explore the science of the mind-body connection and learn practical\, evidence-informed somatic approaches that promote regulation\, resilience\, and healing. You’ll gain tools to support your own well-being while enhancing your work with the individuals\, families\, and communities you serve. \nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:The Anxiety Adults Don’t Always See
DESCRIPTION:Anxiety in children and teens is often misunderstood. What adults interpret as defiance\, withdrawal\, perfectionism\, irritability\, avoidance\, compulsive behaviors\, or emotional overwhelm may actually reflect intense fear\, intrusive thoughts\, anxiety\, OCD-related distress\, or emotional experiences young people struggle to explain openly. \nIn this webinar from Deconstructing Stigma\, Kyle shares lived-experience insight into childhood anxiety and OCD—helping caregivers\, educators\, and professionals better understand what fear\, uncertainty\, obsessive thinking\, and emotional distress can feel like internally for young people\, and how supportive adults can respond with greater empathy\, confidence\, and clarity. \nREGISTER HERE
