SUMMARY:Evoking Transformation Through Trauma-Informed Coaching
DESCRIPTION:The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought- provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.” Moreover\, coaching is an ongoing client-driven process\, centered on solution- oriented interactions designed to increase awareness\, build capacity\, and achieve desired growth. To achieve these goals\, coaches must approach their work with clients with the recognition that most of their clients have been impacted by trauma at some point in their life. In this session\, we will discuss how trauma impacts the brain and the implications this has for us as coaches. \nEste seminario virtual se presentará en inglés con interpretación al español.   \nLearn More & Register

SUMMARY:State of the Safety Net
DESCRIPTION:As states face potential funding cuts and shifting policies\, understanding who is eligible\, who participates\, and where gaps exist is crucial for informing effective safety net strategies. State-by-state data on how many people receive safety net benefits is widely available. But data on how many people are actually eligible and what share of them participate has been harder to find and in some cases has not been available at all. \nTo fill this gap\, the Urban Institute’s State of the Safety Net Initiative has created a web tool that provides\, all in one place\, eligibility and participation estimates for seven different programs—Supplemental Security Income (SSI); Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF); the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP); the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women\, Infants\, and Children (WIC); child care subsidies; public and subsidized housing; and the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)—plus eligibility estimates for the refundable child tax credit and the earned income tax credit. The tool shows information for the nation as a whole and for the 50 states and the District of Columbia. Using Urban’s Analysis of Transfers\, Taxes\, and Income Security (ATTIS) model and real-world caseload data\, the tool offers information for groups (such as children or people in metropolitan areas) when sample sizes allow and enables users to easily extract graphics for analysis or communication. \nIn this webinar\, the Urban Institute will introduce the tool and demonstrate how to use it to explore important information\, such as SNAP eligibility across age groups\, LIHEAP participation by geography\, and cross-state differences in TANF take-up. \nWith 2023 data providing a timely baseline ahead of recent policy changes\, this tool offers national and state organizations a powerful resource to guide outreach and track the evolution of the post–One Big Beautiful Bill Act safety net. \nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:Implicit Bias
DESCRIPTION:This session starts off by diving into the science of why implicit biases happen and how they can show up in our workplace. We explore several mitigation tactics to prevent biases from showing up in our decisions and judgements in the workplace. In a self reflection activity participants identify their own blindspots and why those blindspots are specific to them.  \nEste seminario virtual se presentará en inglés con interpretación al español.   \nLearn More & Register

SUMMARY:We're In This Together: Engaging Youth and Families in Early Psychosis Care
DESCRIPTION:Early signs of schizophrenia and other psychosis conditions can reliably be detected\, and treatment is both possible and effective. Psychosis impacts not only the young person at the center of concern\, but also the entire family. Connecting youth and families with an early intervention program for psychosis accelerates the recovery process and strengthens their long-term natural support network. The webinar from the Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) highlights the good work of the program being awarded the CWLA 2026 Dr. Alexander Gralnick Award for their work with children and families where schizophrenia and other psychosis conditions are present. Participants will hear about resources and have ample time for questions. \nREGISTER HERE
